Writing With Flow

Where writing meets rhythm, and routine becomes ritual.

Hosted by Nora Wilhelm

Write your way into flow

Perhaps there is a project waiting for you - a book, a thesis, a blog, a journal you long to fill.  But showing up to write feels harder than you expected.

It’s not because you’re lazy or uninspired. You just haven’t found the rhythm that works for you yet. Writing is a craft, and like any craft we need to find ways to sit down and practice, take action, and know that both progress and inspiration will follow. But how can we do that consistently?

Writing With Flow is a 10-week live journey to help you create a writing routine that feels like you, steady, enjoyable, and sustainable.

Together, we’ll make writing less of a fight and more of a ritual you can’t wait to return to.

You’ll experience…

Over ten weeks, you’ll be supported to:

  • Build a writing routine that fits your life (not the other way around)

  • Write alongside others twice a week in calm, focused sessions with relaxing lofi music to set the mood

  • Guidance based on the tools from Atomic Habits and more to keep your practice going, even when motivation dips

  • Feel less alone, more supported, and in momentum with your project

  • Transform writing from a chore into a space of flow, clarity, and creativity

From Nora — your guide on this journey

Trying to write a book humbled me.
Honestly, it threw me for a loop. Days would pass and every night I’d think, I’ll write tomorrow. I even tried building a daily habit, but more often than not, as the day came to an end, I’d say “…starting tomorrow” 🫠

A simple black line drawing of two flowers on long, curved stems with leaves.

It wasn’t laziness or even ‘blank page syndrome’, I just hadn’t found a way of showing up that worked for me. First I had to learn to not wait until inspiration strikes. That’s just not how it works. And then, I had to stop forcing myself to try and write for hours. When I finally started building a writing routine that fit my life, everything shifted. Now I write 500–2500 words most days in about an hour, and (mostly) enjoy it,  instead of feeling dread every time I think about writing.

When I shared my struggles online, so many people replied saying they felt the same. That’s when I realised: writing can be so much easier when you’re not doing it alone.

That’s what Writing with Flow is here for, to help you create a writing practice that works for you, in the company of others who get it. We’ll meet each week to write side-by-side, share small wins and frustrations in our community space, and build momentum together.

This isn’t about hitting word counts or pushing through. It’s about finding your rhythm, making space for your words, and remembering that you are a writer, in whatever way works best for you.

I can’t wait to write with you.

FAQs

Do I need to be an experienced writer to join?

Not at all, this journey is for anyone with a writing project, whether it’s a book, thesis, blog, research paper, or journal. You don’t need to have started yet, and there’s no expectation of a certain word count.

What if I can’t attend every live session

You’ll get access to the recording of the kickoff workshop and all written tips, so you can continue your practice in your own time. The writing sessions are supportive, but you can still follow the rhythm at your own pace if you miss some, or all.

How can I get the most out of this journey?

Treat the sessions as appointments with yourself and your writing. Set up your space so it feels inviting, show up as often as you can, and use the weekly tips to keep your momentum between sessions.

What do I need to take part?

A laptop (or your chosen writing tools), internet connection, and Zoom. Have your writing materials ready before each session, along with water, tea, or whatever makes you feel comfortable and focused.

What’s the difference between the workshop and the writing sessions?

The workshop at the start is a taught session on how to create a writing routine that works for you. The ongoing writing sessions are quiet, focused time where you write alongside others, no teaching, just the power of showing up together.
