You have a writing project that you’re struggling to make progress with? Whether it’s a book, thesis or blog - this offering is for you. Using the method of atomic habits, you will be supported in creating your own writing routine, so as to make it a habit that you can stick to. Together with a community of other people in the exact same boat as you, you will benefit from weekly writing sessions (where we all write alongside while on a call) and regular accountability through a group chat. Signing up to this group is the first step in getting your writing in flow - commitment, and investment. I’d recommend at least the price of a coffee per week or some other measure that shows your writing is meaningful to you, but up to you. Let’s do this!

This process will take place online starting on 10/04/2024, for 4 weeks. It is hosted by Nora Wilhelm, founder of the well.

Why join?

You’ve been meaning to write more, but it just hasn’t happened. You’ve had a book idea for years and are struggling to get going. Or maybe you have a deadline for a dissertation or an essay, and it’s just been a struggle. Or you just know that writing could be more flowy and are seeking for ways to bring more ease into your writing practice! I was right where you are now a couple weeks ago. I had been meaning to write daily on my book, and I just couldn’t get myself to do it. We’ll be be addressing all those challenges together by building a strong writing practice through applying the best tricks out there, having a supportive community and creating momentum. If we love it, we might just continue after the four weeks are up ;)

Structure

Through a kick-off call as well as information shared in the group, you will receive key recommendations based on Atomic Habits to build your personalised writing routine. We will have weekly online sessions to write in parallel, making use of the full benefit that body doubling as (the act of doing something next to someone which increases motivation and follow-through). The group will offer a space to regularly share progress and feel accountable, another hack to help you write. All with with loving kindness of course <3
In terms of the timing of the writing sessions, I’m thinking Wednesday evenings CEST but we’ll decide together, I’m happy to host multiple ones a week to accommodate everyone’s schedules and time zones. I usually write every day around 11 am CEST, so if that’s convenient for people I’m happy to offer that on some days as well.


Materials

To participate in this process, all you need is your journal and a pen, or you can choose to write digitally, a good enough internet connection, and the possibility to join a telegram group.

You can decide your own investment in this journey. We recommend reflecting on your own purchasing power to decide what is an adequate contribution:

  • For people living in countries with strong economies or currencies, or who experience a steady financial situation. Your contribution supports the participation of others.

  • For people living in countries with moderate economies or currencies, or who experience an uncertain financial situation.

You can use this free tool from the World Inequality Database to get a better sense of where you find yourself in the global wealth and income distribution. A simple question is: can you afford to go on holiday twice a year? If you can, you are most likely in the high purchasing power group.
